We created a series of animated character posters spotlighting Dorothea Williams’ jazz quartet, the band Joe joins early in Soul. Using character artwork and layered assets provided by Disney, we brought each musician (Dorothea, Joe, Miho, and Curley) to life through in-house animation, lighting, and subtle performance-driven motion that made the static key art feel like a living jazz poster.
We created a suite of social-first videos supporting Soul’s Disney+ release, using the film’s cast, characters, and creative process to build excitement around the premiere. The series included countdown content featuring the voice cast alongside their animated counterparts, cast-introduction videos connecting performers to the characters they brought to life, and a TikTok-style drawing tutorial with Pixar animator MontaQue Ruffin demonstrating how to sketch Joe Gardner. Together, the pieces gave audiences a more personal look at the people and artistry behind the film while keeping the release messaging playful, character-driven, and native to social.

This social montage brought the cast of Soul together for a playful rapid-fire Q&A exploring happiness, personality, inspiration, passion, and their connection to Pixar. Animated graphics, character artwork, and film-inspired visual elements were layered around their responses, turning simple cast interviews into a colorful, personality-driven piece designed to celebrate the themes at the heart of the film while reinforcing its Disney+ release.
